Here’s how it will go:

The people of the community come to the farm and have fun, sharing their gifts, talents and passions. The visitors to the Island come to the farm - and spend a unique fun Sunday afternoon, wondering in the woods, listening to music, participating in new experiences.

Each festival will have a page printout of the activities for that day. There will be about 3 hours of events on the main stage, with some breaks. Occuring at the same time there would be fun events in the woods, meadow, field. Folks who decide they want to offer an activity or event at a festival will sign up for a particular time and place. Visitors will check the schedule and find them at the right time.

Art, vendors and food (and portapotties) will be close to the road and outbuildings. Visitors will enter, visit all the tables and demonstrations, and wander back to the stage, and then farther into the woods. It will definitely be a full afternoon!

The event will be advertised in the local papers and at the local tourist information centers, and through Oceanside Tourism. The farm is only 5 minutes from Coombs Old Country Market.

There are so many talented, skilled, unique people in this community. And each summer, the place fills with thousands of visitors looking for the local flavor! That is what we want this festival to become. A resource, a refuge, and a fun place to visit!

We haven't figured out the details of trades, thanks for performers, etc. Our goal is the benefit for all. Details will evolve. We're open to ideas. The farm wants to "earn its keep" - and be a refuge for many.
